I joined the Sir. Community in late 2006. After seeing a few videos by the ever-so-talented Xalias, I was into machinima.
Over the last year and a half I have created various content for the Sir. Community but what i really loved was finding other incredible works of art around the internet. I created Machinimad.com in January of 2008 in hopes of sharing the world of machinima with a wider audience.
What is machinima?
Machinima is filming through a game engine. It started back in the 1990’s with the game Quake with the creation of a short called Diary of a Camper. Soon after, it began to take off. In 2000, machinima.com was created and it was also the first time the word machinima was used. With this website, machinima began to get an even stronger foot-hold. In 2002, the Academy of Machinima Arts & Sciences was formed and held the first ever Machinima FIlm Festival.
Machinima continues to grow with more and more companies putting time and money into developing and promoting machinima.
In this blog, I hope to highlight the best of whats up and coming in the machinima world. I hope you stay and enjoy the ride.
